Hi,
Thank you for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please let us know the make and model of the PC?
You might be facing this issue due to the incompatibility of the driver with Windows 10. So I suggest you to check the device manufacturer website to see if Windows 10 drivers are available. If no, then download the latest version of the driver and install it in compatibility mode to check if that helps.
You may update the drivers in compatibility mode from the article below by Andre Da Costa.
You may also install any pending updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.
Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.

Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Sorry for the delayed response.
Have you tried uninstalling all the drivers and any software that came with the card?
Uninstall the card from device manager. You may follow the steps below for the same:
-
Right Click on Start, Select Device Manager.
-
Find and double-click the category of device whose driver you wish to uninstall.
-
Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
-
Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.
I also suggest you to update the motherboard chipset drivers from the OEM website to check if that helps.
Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.

i Have already done all that "BUT DIDN'T WORKED" if those things which you are telling me had worked then why would i post a thread on the Microsoft blog?? as these solutions which you are giving a child will also first take those steps even if you tell
him or not he also knows these steps...I know that you are experts of windows you can come up with such method that will be completely different and can also help me that's why i am here. :/ kindly give me a fair response. These novice things you are telling
me and asking me to do everybody knows but my problem is far away than that and it is also causing because of your "windows 10" as it is not supporting the driver.I try to install it.It always says "kindly plug in the cmedia soundcard and then restart the
setup".This is not some small issue either work on that driver and make it compatible as windows 10 compability settings doesn't work on it.
Check this video out for your assistance:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeBjVIjsots
In this video the souncard is not terratech as by doing all the things i knew it got that name :3 cmedia comes with other driver packages inside it so what i did there was that i tried installing some other soundcard driver present in that cmedia driver
inf but whatever i do even i install terratech aur cmedia through very very long process.....it does not give out sound (what i do to install that driver is i go to driver update>browse my comp.....>let me pick from a list...>show all devices....>have disk>then
i just give the location of cmedia driver inf to the computer...)This method installs my driver but doesn't gives out sound :/
and yea now don't tell me that after the process where it even shows driver is installed and it shows cmedia then run its setup...etc...etc i have tried that already and didn't worked it gave me same issue of "please plug in.....restart setup" :3
