bugcheck 0x0000009f storahci.sys

I keep getting random bluescreens with my new Windows 11 system. BIOS, graphics card, chipset, Windows are all up to date.

Would appreciate some help in understanding the debug file to find the root cause

See if your computer is creating minidump files.

These files are in "C:\Windows\Minidump".

Copy any files you have to your desktop and store them in a ZIP file. Then upload the ZIP file to the cloud (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc...), choose to share it, and get the link.

Post the link to the ZIP file here.

Your minidump file indicates that the BSOD is caused by the “storahci.sys” storage driver.

Go to your PC or motherboard's support page on the manufacturer's website and look for Intel driver installation, such as Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

I have MSI motherboard with AMD CPU and AMD GPU, does that still apply?

https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B650-TOMAHAWK-WIFI/support#driver

All I can see is BIOS firmware and chipset driver, latest version for both are installed. Does the minidump file indicate any process which could have caused the crash?

It says "AMD RAID Driver" does that still apply to me? I'm not running my disks in RAID configuration

The BSOD problem is being caused by RAID, installing the drivers can solve this problem.
Check in the BIOS also that the RAID option is disabled and AHCI is enabled

I dont think thats correct? From official AMD documentation the driver applies to:

  • Supported RAID Levels RAID 0,1,10 for both NVMe and SATA RAID on the above listed AMD products.

  • RAID 5 is supported on 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ and Ryzen Threadripper PRO Processors only.

  • This driver package supports the operating system/boot device included in the RAID array and standalone NVMe boot device with a separate SATA RAID storage array.
