BSOD when trying to perform a windows defender full scan

Hello everyone, today I'm experiencing quite an unusal problem. I went to windows defender to perform a Full Scan. As this process is happening my CPU usage shoots up to 100% and my fans start spining really fast. After about three quarters of the way through the scan (and my CPU usage still at 100%) my computer locks up and instantly goes to BSOD. I have the mini dump file and will post the link to it here. I'm not exactly sure what's causing this issue. I appreciate you all reading this and hope someone can help. Blessings

Hi LouisVeerapen,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) indicates A fatal hardware error has occurred.

The minidump file points to "GenuineIntel.sys". It is the Intel Procesor driver.

This might be driven by a corrupted process and Windows might have already recovered after the restart.

Do you still encounter BSOD or is it the first and last time?

I only encounter the bsod when preforming a full scan with windows defender. Other than that my computer runs perfectly fine its very odd. I have ran many diagnostics such as Dism, Sfc and checkdisk and windows memory diagnostic with no errors. I have also recently reinstalled windows 10 just to make sure I didn't have any corrupted drivers.

I also have to full bsod dump if you would like.

And also thanks for the response :)

Sorry for the late reply.

The Memory dump file still points to "GenuineIntel.sys".

I will suggest now that you update the BIOS to the latest version.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

I believe to have found the problem. The reason why my computer crashed was because the cpu overheated. The placement of my computer in my room and my power settings being on high proformance were the culprit. I did a cpu stress test with no error and a full scan with no errors after making the changes. Thanks again for your help, and I also updated the BIOS like you suggested.
