BSOD video_DXGKrnl_Fatal_error

Hi! i am having a video_DXGKrnl_Fatal_error while playing valorant twice this month. I have a Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i, can you tell me why i am having this BSOD error.

Here is my minidump file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VABdG5TczV0PVNLWZkfMyEzrX3s6PTis/view?usp=sharing

Maybe caused by this?

Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers.

There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

Do NOT update from any other source inc Device Manager

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

The minidump indicates the driver "nvlddmkm.sys" as the cause of the crash. This driver belongs to your laptop's Nvidia graphics card. No other drivers are mentioned.

I suggest performing a clean install of the Nvidia driver as instructed below.

Download the latest driver for your graphics card from the computer manufacturer's website. Then, use the free DDU tool to remove the current driver. Then, install the latest driver using the installer you downloaded.
I suggest disconnecting from the internet during the entire procedure.
(Turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect the Ethernet cable.)

DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-dr...

Nvidia driver download: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/kk...
(Run the downloaded EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)
(For laptops, it is recommended to use the latest Nvidia driver provided by the laptop manufacturer.)

If you have the GeForce Experience or Nvidia app installed, disable the automatic driver updates in the application settings.

See if the system will work stable after this.

If the BSOD occurs again after doing this, share the minidump it created. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.

If you need a tutorial for using DDU, I recommend the video below.
