I upgraded my mobo to an asus b550 tuf board because my old one died and now I cant use bluetooth. It has bluetooth and it worked for a sec after I installed it but I needed to update the firmware and reset the pc. After that the bluetooth has not worked, all it does is not show any devices even when I have them on and pairing. I tried replacing the drivers off of asus website and got so frustrated I clean installed windows as well. Nothing seems to work and the same problem persists. I have tried other troubleshooting tips on forums and youtube and I cannot seem to figure this out please help. I am assuming its not a hardware issue as it is detecting I have bluetooth on the mobo and am able to install the drivers for it.

Answer
Very sorry to hear about your issues with Bluetooth. Since Bluetooth operated for a brief period while you installed the system which proves the hardware works correctly. ..cause of failure seems to be incorrect software and firmware setup. Please try following:
1. Update firmware...resolution of device issues can be achieved by returning to an older system version after new software updates cause problems. ..Please consult the ASUS support page to determine the potential options for rollback to previous firmware versions.
2. The correct sequential order of driver installation steps must be followed when performing the task. Installing in Safe Mode together with ensuring all Bluetooth devices are disconnected might assist. It helps when Bluetooth drivers are uninstalled through Device Manager followed by a restart and fresh driver installation from beginning.
3. navigate to Windows Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices in their system.Check Bluetooth is turned on. toggle between ON and OFF status of the Bluetooth service can do service reset. check for Windows updates that pertain to Bluetooth features.
4. The BIOS/UEFI setup requires opening the settings screen with Del, F2 or F12 during startup for Bluetooth verification. Sometimes, settings might get toggled off during updates or resets.
5. Test third-party software options such as Bluetooth Driver Installer together with Intel's Bluetooth software because they could improve your hardware performance.
6. Verify that no other wireless tools or software programs occupy the same domain. Checking if Bluetooth begins operating when Wi-Fi gets disabled along with an uninstall of third-party network management programs.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, consider reaching out to ASUS support with detailed logs from your system, as there might be a specific compatibility issue with your setup.
If you need further assistance or if any of these steps are unclear, please let me know.
