Hi,

An application or program can cause the Bluetooth to not function. We have a few questions for you to help us determine why it's not turning on:

  • What are the recent changes or updates on your device?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  • Can you send us a screenshot for us to have a better visual?

I can't image that your laptop knows or cares about what kind of phone you have.

So we don't have to imagine what the "Bluetooth manager message" is this link tells you how to include a screenshot in your post:

Toshiba makes lots of laptops.

What is the model and serial number of yours?

Hi

The only updates that have been done is a Nvidia update. I also installed a HP deskjet Printer but it was not working before that. In the Device Manager the bluetooth has the little yellow triangle. I have deleted the bluetooth drivers and re installed after restart.

Thank you for the screenshots. After deleting the Bluetooth driver in the Device Manager and installing it back, did the yellow triangle disappeared? Have you tried enabling your Bluetooth using the Function key (Fn) and the F8 key on your keyboard?

Hi

After deleting the drivers the bluetooth disappeared. But it is back with yellow triangle. Under adapter properties it says.... "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" Pressing FN and F8  it says it is on.

Thank you for that information. Code 43 is an error notification that a driver controlling your device has failed. Run the troubleshooter and update driver tool in this link. It also contains more information about the error.

If the issue persists, uninstall the Bluetooth driver via Device Manager by right-clicking your Bluetooth driver with a yellow triangle, then select Uninstall. After uninstalling, right-click your computer name and select Scan for hardware changes.

Note: You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. If you are asked for the driver and you don't have it, you can download the latest driver from the hardware vendor's website.

Let us know how'd it go after troubleshooting.

If you uninstall the drivers it seems to me that you would then need to install the drivers specific for your system - if you want things to work.

When visiting Toshiba support sites looking for driver download so many places want the serial number of the unit.

You should do that and see if you can find the Bluetooth stack/drivers you need for your model.

I think it unlikely that you will ever get things working if you continue to use the generic Windows drivers.

Here is one example but don't know if this is right for your unit (it might be):
