Bluetooth adapter crashes laptop

I just bought a Bluetooth adapter 5.4 and every time I plugged it in, my laptop crashes. My laptop is a Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8. I tried the Bluetooth adapter on different PC with Windows 10 and its working well. I also tried a different Bluetooth adapter 4.0 to my laptop but it also doesn't work.

Were these dump files generated after you plugged the Bluetooth adapter 5.4 into your PC? Or do they contain the dump files generated with the Bluetooth adapter 4.0 plugged in?

According to the blue screen report, the 5.4 adapter is not compatible with your PC. Maybe it is just a driver issue. You can go to the website of the adapter manufacturer. Normally, it should provide the driver of the adapter. Install it and see how it is going.

However, you mentioned that if you plug a Bluetooth adapter 4.0 into your PC, it will still crash. So, there might be something wrong with your PC's driver. This needs further checking. But we can leave it just for now and see whether the website has the driver.

Laptop doesn't crash when I plug the 4.0 bluetooth adapter but it still doesn't work. When I checked on Device Manager, it says the hardware is not working properly. But when I plug the 5.4, it immediately crashes so the dump files were definitely generated after that.

Could you please tell me the brand of the 5.4 adapter? I can look for whether there is a suitable driver for the adapter.

You can go to their official website: https://www.ugreen.com/pages/download
Then, search the model of your adapter (which is CM748). Then, download and install the driver and see whether the problem is solved.

There might be some software conflict with the driver. You can try a clean boot and see whether this is the reason. A clean boot can let the system run with minimum services and apps. If the system doesn't crash with a clean boot, then it indicates that some apps are conflicting with the adapter's driver. To perform a clean boot, you can refer to this article:
