Blue screen on start up

Recently i have installed windows 10 version 1909 and my laptop shows blue screen on start up everytime. It shows the error 'KERNEL DATA INPAGE ERROR' and shows failed: cdd.dll.

How to I fix this problem.

I tried Uninstalling the version 1909 update too but the problem still persists. :(

Hi atul

Are you actually able to get into Windows 10?

1
If you can:

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes . . .

Open Windows File Explorer

Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

If you cannot get into Windows 10:

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt . . . etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Settings and click Restart

Upon restart, press 4 to enter Safe Mode

Once in Safe Mode, backup your data if you do not already have a backup

Then you should be able to access and upload those minidump files . . .

Hello, I'am microsoft member like you, so can you access to the windows? If yes, then try running a SFC and DISM scan to check for corrupted/missing system files, because it may be the cause, and then run a virus scan, most of the time, the malwares are the problem, I recommend you to run thos two on Safe Mode, If you can't access to windows and safe mode, then pick your windows installation, put it in your PC, boot on it, After that, click on repair my PC, then Do the starup repair, If he did find nothing, then run a command prompt and type: sfc /scannow, after finishing run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth.

Im not sure about this, Im just trying to help, hope i helped you!
