Blue screen of death Updates screwed up my computer, stuck in reset mode, can’t get into safe mode with the 3 reset method

OK, so we had the update on Wednesday and ever since then my computer has shut off randomly at first I was able to get into Windows desktop however now I’m not able to get into the Windows desktop. The computer starts on a continuous restart cycle from hyper visor error to uncorrectable error, I’m on the restart mode to get into safe mode. My computer does not allow that to happen.

When I go to reset the computer when the window screen appears it will turn off. I turn the computer back on the second time. I will turn the computer back on a preparing automatic repair window will appear. I wait for the windows logo again. I turn off the computer holding the power button for seven seconds, and the computer will continue to repeat and repeat and repeat.

My whole computer is now in a dead lock, **** do I do?

Thank you, Cogsy

Hi, COGGY COGS

Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Is the random shutdown behavior a direct black screen shutdown or does it follow the normal Windows shutdown process? If it’s a direct black screen shutdown, it is likely a hardware issue causing all your current problems. Since you are currently unable to enter Recovery Mode, you can try creating a media installation tool to attempt a repair installation of the system to see if it resolves your issue.

In-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides: How to run In-place upgrade in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community

If it still doesn’t work, you may need to back up your data and reinstall the system.

Please ensure that you backup any important data, including Documents, Pictures, Videos, and more. After that, you can find instructions on how to install Windows 10/11 in the following article by MVP Andre: How to: Perform a Custom Installation of Windows 11 and Windows 10 or - Microsoft Community

If the automatic shutdown issue persists, it is almost certain that it is a hardware issue causing your current problems. Please visit a local repair center for further assistance.

Ahhhh? How? My computer continues the restart blue screen method and does not allow me to access fhe safe mode or the recovery menu.

Let me repeat.

When i try to manually restsrt my conputer the pc gets caught in a loop.

The first time the Pc will show me the windows loading icon, so i hit the power button then the next restsrt up the second time the pc will immediately start the “automatic repair” then goes directly to a second blue screen.

Once i was able to get into the recovery mode but as soon as i clicked on “uninstall latest updates” the pc immediately went into the bluescreen again.

This is crazy how directly after the latest update my brand new computer is completely disabled.
