Blue screen: kmod exception not handled windows 11

Hi guys, I recently have a blue screen error occurred on my machine and It keeps self restarting after the blue screen and will not get in to post and keeps repeat the self restarting until I have to manually force shutdown

Before the blue screen I do notice some changes on my computer that are

1) The gpu driver I was previously installed is now listed as unknown and need attention

2) The Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host controllers previously not having issues is now listed as need attention

I did try manually right click to update these drivers above but the window updates detect nothing and states as all devices and drivers are up to date (though the label need attention going still)

*My question is how can I update these drivers other than right click and update, because the machine is not detect anything to update

**Should I use DDU to reinstall the gpu then manually go visit Intel website to install the Intel drivers? << if yes what Intel drivers package should I go for a search because The Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host controllers seem to paired as 4 but 3 of them need attention

***Any other advice to solve the blue screen?

To make It easy you just answer on questions that has *, **, *** on

Hi, PP_ga

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are experiencing blue screen problem, we need dump file to analyze the cause of your blue screen and give further solution. Please follow the steps below to set up and get the dump file:

Go to C:\Windows\Minidump , find the blue screen log file and upload it to OneDrive or other cloud storage, send us the sharing link.

If you can't find the dump file, you can set it up like this:

Press Windows key + S key search bar and type Control to find and open Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Startup and Failure Recovery > Settings, Write debugging information select "Small memory dump". Confirm and restart your computer.

After setting, if you get a blue screen again, go to the default path location C:\Windows\Minidump where you can find the blue screen log file.

Before that, I can answer your first two questions.

**For these drivers, you need to go to your motherboard manufacturer's website to download them (do not use third party software to download them).

**Yes, you need to go to Intel's website, search for your motherboard model and download the Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host controllers driver, but due to the difference in device models, I can't tell you which drivers you need to install and I can't specify which drivers you need to install, so I suggest you contact your motherboard device supplier or manufacturer.

***You need to upload your DUMP file according to the steps I provided above, we will analyze your DUMP file to find the specific program that caused your blue screen and provide you with a solution.

Sincerely

Hi Nicholas,

I couldn't find the minidump file on my PC maybe because I was use system restore to rollback earlier date yesterday

But when I first able to turn on my computer again (before the rollback) Its seems to get worse that exclamation mark has claimed more drivers in Device Manager It so overwhelmed when I first see It and all of them I did try click on Update driver and same thing to all window state that drivers already installed and up to date

Then I check in event viewer It displays a lot of errors consist of DistributedCOM Event ID 10005 and AppModel-Runtime Event ID 216 and volmgr Event ID 161 (this one said >> Dump file creation failed due to error duringdump creation// don't know if It matters I'm just want to include)

Then I did self-research that It suggested me to system restore and It seems to work, all drivers after the restorepoint are came back!! (I don't have to reinstall one by one Thanks God!!)

But what is causing all of these? a latest windows update? or virus?

So far nothing is malfunction or blue screen at the time I'm typing this

Thanks you

Hi, PP_ga

I'm glad that your issue was resolved!

There are a number of reasons for this problem. If you have recently updated your system, there may have been an error during the update that caused the driver to not be recognized correctly. If you have recently downloaded other third-party software, it is also possible that the software has made changes to your system that may have caused the error, so we usually do not recommend downloading unknown programs.

If you experience problems with Microsoft products in the future, please feel free to visit the Microsoft community again!
