Good evening Vance:

My name is Miguel Ángel and I am an independent Microsoft advisor. I'll try to help you in this lovely day.

The 0xc0000001 BSOD means that the files necessary for booting are corrupted. The blue screen must be like this:

https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/wp-content/upl...

Follow these steps to perform a start-up repair:

1. Press F8 for start-up settings. You will see something like this: https://bit.ly/2Tx0tMc
2. Press F10 for more options. You will see this: https://bit.ly/3kMtaRe
3. Press 1 to launch recovery environment. You wil see this: https://bit.ly/34ySzsd
4. Press Troubleshoot. You will see this: https://bit.ly/2JdNaP2
5. Press Advanced Options. You will see this: https://bit.ly/3oxl9lw
6. Press Startup Repair, and let it try to find the issue.

Tell me how it goes, please. We'll find more solutions if this one doesn't work.

Best wishes,

Miguel Ángel.

Hi Vance!

In the items 1-9 list, you have to press F10. It doesn't do anything?

If it doesn't, try turning off your laptop as soon as Windows logo appears. Do it twice more until it boots into Automatic Repair.

Let's see if we fix it! Don't worry about it.

I don't think I'm able to do live chat, but I'll be quick answering you, no worries!

Hugs,

Miguel Ángel.

Do you have any 8GB USB drive? We'll need one in order to recover the system.

We will need to know if it's 32 or 64 bytes, can you tell me the device's model?

We will try with 64 bits, it will just be used for recovery.

You can download Windows 10 Installation Media here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-downlo...

Download the tool, plug in your USB and execute it. It will do everything else.

Keep me updated, and don't panick. Everything will be fine :)

Hi Vance!

Have you used the link I posted up there? Does it boot to normal Windows or to the USB?

If it boots to Windows ignoring the USB, we will change the boot order in BIOS.
