Blue screen and unable to start Windows 7 normaly

yesterday I was working on my computer and it showed the following screen.

After I managed to turn on System Repair it showed that the error is blue screen and the laptop restarted. Now when I try to turn it on I see the Windows logo and another blue screen

Safe mode works fine but I don't have Internet connection.

How can I solve the problem?

Hi Emily,

If safe mode works fine then go into safe mode, open programs and features in control panel and uninstall all your drivers. specifically your video and audio drivers. Those 2 drivers are common to cause a blue screen if they are not right. After uninstalling the drivers you can start up your computer normally. When you are in windows in normal mode and the blue screen doesn't appear you can install your drivers again.

Let us know if this worked.

Regards

It worked fine until it restarted and now shows the first error.

And the monitor is not working. I connected it to another monitor.

Hi Emily,

Im sorry to see you are getting more problems. I would like to know the following:

Is your laptop still able to boot into safe mode?

Which drivers did you uninstall when you were in safe mode? all of them or only the Video drivers?

When exactly did this blue screen came up? Was it the first reboot after you uninstalled the drivers or the first reboot after you installed your drivers again.

I can still boot into safe mode and safe mode with networking.

I uninstalled the video and sound drivers (they were 3 altogether). It was working completely fine for a couple of minutes.

The blue screen came up in the first reboot after the Windows installed the drivers.

My sound is not working either.

It sounds like windows is installing improper drivers that is causing the blue screen now. Uninstall it again in safe mode and see if you can download your video and audio drivers from your laptop's manufacturer's website. If you still have your laptop's driver disks you can use those.

If it still give the same blue screens after that you will have to try reloading your windows to rule out a windows problem. After that you will have to consider it being a hardware fault if your laptop continuous to give the same blue screens. My guess then would be either one of your memory modules or your video card is faulty.

Let us know what happens. Hope you come right.

It looks like the 0Aa000001 stop error maybe related to the ATI drivers as well.

It may also mean the videocard is faulty. That first stop error 0x116 can also mean a faulty videocard

Does this have onboard video? If it's a desktop?? If it does, remove the AMD/ATI card.

Otherwise you may have to buy a new videocard
