Block the McAfee renewal pop-up

How do I block the McAfee antivirus renewal pop-up?

Is the pop-up that you are seeing appears on your internet browser? Is it similar to the links below? If yes, then that is definitely an adware. You may follow the suggested fixes on the links below.

I have followed the steps in the first link but have not installed Malwarebytes Free yet. I was waiting to see if the McAfee renewal pop-up is gone.  So far so good!

So you recommend installing Malwarebytes Free?

take it off of your computer take off all the software you do not use on your computer

Let's observe it first Laurie and see if the pop-up would still appear before we use and install Malwarebytes.
