BITLOCKER RECOVERY KEY

I was trying to update my computer to the newer version but i turned it off before the update was completed so when i turned it on again, it did not work at all.

i thought i could just reset it to the previous version, therefore i started the process but now it's asking me for a bitlocker recovery key.

i have followed the Microsoft job aids found on the website on how to retrieve the bitlocker key and it prompts me to go into my Microsoft account linked to my pc. i did that but unfortunately when i log in into my account it says there is no bitlocker key associated to my account.

the pc is brand new, and when i set it up with my new microsoft account i did not see or read anywhere that i need to create or link a bitlocker key to my account. doesnt this happen automatically when you create a new microsoft account on a new pc?

also, where else can i find the bitlocker recovery key?

is there a phone number i can talk to a real person on this matter? it is frustrating that a phone number is not even listed on the website.

If there is no way to find the bitlocker recovery key, how can i bypass the screen asking for it so i can reset completely my pc?

now i can not use my pc at all until i get this da** key.

My pc is brand new and it's unfortunate i can no use it, i appreciate your help in advance. thank you

I'm sorry to hear this.

If the key is irretrievable, you’ll need to wipe the drive and reinstall Windows. This erases all data but bypasses BitLocker:

Use Windows Recovery Environment
On the BitLocker screen, click Esc → Turn off the PC.

Restart and repeatedly press F11 (or your manufacturer’s recovery key, e.g., F9/F12) to enter recovery mode.

Go to Troubleshoot → Reset this PC → Remove everything.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
Femi
