Best way to run a task after hibernation?

My PC wakes up from hibernation because my network adapter can wake my device. I need that function on so I can use Wake on LAN. It is only set to wake up to magic packets, but that has unfortunately not been the case. So to circumvent this problem, I figured I would make a task that runs an AutoHotkey script that hits the Start button then a few other keys to press hibernate. I know, very advanced methodology. The problem is that it does not execute after I wake it from hibernation.

Please tell me if there is an option I missed. Thank you.

I made a few changes to your task, i.e.

  • I used the event System / Kernel Power / 107 as an event trigger
  • I unticked the trigger expiry box
  • I changed the account to "System"
  • I used a different .exe file (which you can change back)

The task now runs reliably when returning from hibernation. You can import my version, then adjust it to suit your needs.
