Best place to buy a Windows 10 key?

I’m installing Windows 10 on a new PC and I can’t find a place that sells the keys and has good reviews. Amazon seems like the best place so far. I already have Windows on a bootable USB, and just need a place to buy a key.

Honestly, the only place you are guaranteed to purchase a legitimate Windows 10 licence key is the Microsoft Store

Amazon can also be a good source, but please be warned there are too many sources of bad licence keys on the Internet and many people get caught by these scams

Logic would imply that no-one can sell a genuine Microsoft product cheaper than Microsoft can . ..

The general rule with Windows licence keys is, if it sounds too good to be true, it is !

This is an opinion of mine that isn't affiliated with Microsoft's stance on this. That being said, Microsoft's marketplace to buy Windows 10 is hands down the guaranteed way of getting a genuine license: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-win...

If the order is fulfilled by Amazon, it could very well be a legitimate license and you have nothing to worry about.

In a nutshell, Amazon orders will most likely work when it's fulfilled by them (or from them directly).

The best place to buy Windows is the Microsoft Store. In US, only Amazon and Microsoft Store are the places Microsoft recommends to buy. For other countries. use Microsoft Store.

Four responses from Directly "advisors" so far, and none have caught the salient bit of the question.  You can't legitimately buy a product key by itself.  The only genuine copies come with installation media and a Microsoft COA.   If you buy just a key, you'll run into trouble.

How does the "Digital Download" work from the Microsoft Store? Is it really that much different?
