Backlit Keyboard doesn't light up and keyboard itself sometimes doesn't respond to keys sometimes randomly

Backlit Keyboard doesn't light up and keyboard itself sometimes doesn't respond to keys sometimes randomly. Even the light on the mute button doesnt appear but the mute button works. plz help... this is HP Envy x360 laptop. After a period of time everything returns back to normal... but this proplem is still persisting.. i also tried troublsehooting my keyboard but it says no changes or updates is necessary.. plz do something

I dont think the thread you have sent has the solution for the problem i am facing...

The only difference between his problem and mine is that i could find the hard disk option in my laptop which a user(mohammed shuaib) was suggesting him to look into while helping him...

I followed his instructions but there was no change... but after a few hours my laptop became normal like always... but i think the problem will still persist... so plz help if you can to put a full stop to this problem. Thank you!

I'm sorry if the steps didn't work. It seems that the issue is complex than what I expected.

It may be best if I release your question to other advisors so they can take a look at it and let them share some other ways that can totally eliminate this issue on your keyboard.

Thanks, weird. This is a known issue on Windows Insider Dev. Let us see if there is a firmware update available.

Right-click Start>Run.

Type in msinfo32 and press enter.

Take a screenshot of the System Summary window and post it in the next reply.

FYI: it is working perfectly right now.. but i think the problem may persist in the future.... so i need a solution for that.

Sure, thanks. Please update BIOS to F.23 and see if it resolves the problem.

Click BIOS and select the setup in the dropdown.

Often these kinds of issues are OS independent and can be resolved by updating BIOS.

i installed it but in the process of restarting it said update failed and that it couldn't open bios signature file
