auto create restore point automatically just before updates applied

Currently, I create a RESTORE POINT before each Update starts/is done, ...

Well, is there any Setting in Windows 10/11 to auto-create a restore point automatically, just before continuing to update, then going to update Windows 10/11...?

In other words, to Not Create Restore Point manually, just go apply updates, and Restore Point is created automatically... well?

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

Yes, you can enable the automatic creation of the system restore points by enabling the option "Turn on system protection ".

1-Click on Start, search for "Create a system restore point" and click on that
2-Click on the "Configure..." button
3-Select the option "Turn on system protection "
4-Select the amount of storage you want to use to save the system restore point. The number of restore points saved will depend on how much storage you set on the "Max Usage".
5-Click on Apply and OK to save the change

After this change, the System Restore automatically will create a restore point before application installation, Windows Update or auto-update installation, and system restore operation.

This means that the restore points will be created automatically before the updates, you don't need to create the restore point manually.

If you want to configure the auto-creation of the system restore point for a secondary disk, you need to select the disk before clicking on the "Configure..." button.

1-Click on Start, search for "Create a system restore point" and click on that
2-You can see all disks from your computer and the status of the protection on the "Protection Settings"
3-Select the drive that you want to enable the auto-creation of the system restore point and then click on the "Configure..." button
4-Select the option "Turn on system protection "
5-Select the amount of storage you want to use to save the system restore point. The number of restore points saved will depend on how much storage you set on the "Max Usage".
6-Click on Apply and OK to save the change

Okay, but,

I mainly interested in CREATE RESTORE POINTS for only currently Primary System SSD or HDD that host the OS.

I have two dual boot and one triple boot Windows OS PCs… others single boot.

What needed for auto restore point create before updates?

Is the same as…

What needed to activate system HDD or SSD setup for restore points?

Automatically restore points created even manually create one prior an update?

What is the backup-name-x convention for automatic restore points?

"What needed for auto restore point create before updates?
Is the same as…
What needed to activate system HDD or SSD setup for restore points?"
-Yes, is the same procedure.

"Automatically restore points created even manually create one prior an update?"
-Yes, the installation of the update will trigger the system restore point creation. If you set a low amount of storage in the "Max Usage" the new restore point will overwrite the prior system restore point.

"What is the backup-name-x convention for automatic restore points?"
-The system restore points are created on the hidden partition " C:\System Volume Information" and the name of the file will be the date+computer name.
