ATI HDMI Output

In control panel/sound/manage audio devices/sound/ playback it says on the ATI HDMI output, " ATI Function Driver for high definition audio - ATI 791A not pluged in.  How do I plug it in so I can listen to my audio in one of my music programs (Cakewalk Sonar).  In the properties box it says the device is working properly.

Hi Axeman2,

Welcome to Microsoft Answers.

Generic drivers for audio are installed by windows itself, which is the reason its showing as device is working properly in device manager. You may want to install the drivers for ATI High definition audio from the manufacturer’s website.

Check the link http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/b3c6477e-1111-4b9f-a52a-fffdc51e9c901033.mspx#E6F    “Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly”
