Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 suddenly lags

It happens suddenly 2 days ago, before everything is smooth. suddenly the computer really lags and even without starting up any application it lags really bad. If tried updating all the drivers both AMD and Nvidia and then cleaning the fans and also clean boot up but nothing seems to work. In addition, the RAm and storage is barely used, so I'm not sure if it has to do something with software wise? I also include the log here for reference. log

Greetings. My name is Anis. I'll be glad to help you today.

It sounds like you're dealing with a performance issue that appeared suddenly. Since you've already tried updating drivers, cleaning the fans, and performing a clean boot, here are some additional steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check if there is any pending Windows Update (Settings>Windows Update).

2. Clean Temporary Files:
Open Run (Press Windows+R key together)
Type %temp% and hit Enter.
Select all files, folders and delete them.

3. Disk Cleanup:
Search Disk Cleanup at the Start Menu search bar and open it.
Select C:\ drive and press OK.
Click on all the check boxes and press OK.

4. Run the System File Checker (SFC) and DISM:

Run SFC:
Press Win + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This process may take some time to complete.

Run DISM:
After SFC completes, type the following command and press Enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Allow the process to complete.

Restart Your Computer.

Let me know the status.

HI thank you, i've cleaned all the "possible threat" mentioned by the windows security, but still doesn't help. I just unplugged my second monitor from my laptop and its now way better, is it possible that faulty HDMI cables caused this lag? thank you

You mentioned that the issue started two days ago. Hence, the HDMI cable issue is a little unlikely, but we can rule out the possibility. You can try another HDMI cable and check.

Please open Armoury Crate.
Switch the Operating mode to "Performance" or "Turbo" and check if the PC lags.

Refer to the attached image.
