Are there windows OEM licenses that are intended by specif regions

Does microsft sell Windows oem licenses where usage is for specific region? Meaning does microsoft sell windows oem licenses to poorer countries because of which pc activated whith such license is not allowed to be sold to other country.

Also is there way to see if windows oem even has such limits on usage based on region?

Only the Windows Home OEM SL (Single Language) version is normally available for sale in certain regions and cannot install additional languages.

There is also a version of Windows 10 for China.

Apart from these localized versions, there are not country locked versions.

Hi Daniel,
OEM licenses are sold to PC manufacturers or Windows installers who sells the assembled PC.
The end user cannot buy OEM separately from computer from its own needs - there is system builder license agreement on the back of the pack and its obliges builder to sell a PC after Windows installation.
If one buy OEM separately from computer it is either in pack (see picture) or sold illegally.
There is no sense to buy OEM packs in another country so your question is senseless too, unfortunately..

From 1:58-2:30 it spoke about that microsoft doesnt allow reseling of keys to different regions if key purchased in poorer region. 

If i understand that would refer to single language license keys?

I think Linus was being general with his description. I know that Office 365 product key card licenses are country locked, but its rare in the world of Windows 10. In most cases, if it is, its for OEM versions, not retail versions.

During the Windows 7 era, Microsoft was very aggressive with country locked versions of Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic and Home Premium, but not so much now with Windows 10.

I have been supporting Windows 10 for over 3 years; especially in the areas product activation and I have yet to encounter a customer with a country locked version of Windows 10.

I have oem win 8.1 installed on my laptop. I changed windows region and language but some minor things still are in Polish that i cant find how to change.

Is it possible to see if windows has regional block by looking at eula or somewhere in settings?

From the command prompt with elevated privileges, you can slmgr.vbs /dlv
Hit Enter then you will see if it says Single Language or SL in the dialog.

Thats how you know if your license can't install additional languages.

No i meant is there way to know if windows key is allowed for usage only for certain country?  like with windows 8.1 for example

No, you would have to check the accompanying certificate of authenticity that came with the product key in order to find that out.

My lenova laptop with preinstalled windows  8 have genuine microaoft Label but it does not have COA.

Is there way to check even if i dont have COA?
