APN Settings Windows 10 - via registry or GPO

Hello Team

Is it possible to set the APN setting in Windows 10 devices via registry or GPO ?

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

Yes, it is possible to configure APN settings on Windows 10 devices using either the registry or Group Policy (GPO).

Using Group Policy (GPO):

Open the Group Policy Management Editor.

Navigate to Computer Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry.

Right-click and choose New > Registry Item.

Set the appropriate Registry Hive (likely HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE), and enter the relevant APN settings as registry keys.

Deploy the policy across the devices that need the APN settings.

---

Using Registry:

You can also manually configure APN settings directly via the Windows Registry.

The APN-related settings should be added under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\EAP\25 key or similar, depending on the modem's configuration. However, this is more tedious for managing multiple devices, which is why GPO is generally preferred for larger deployments.

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
