AOL says that no internet connection is available, but Internet Explorer and Firefox are both connected and working. What should I do?

I tried all of the things AOL suggested.  I checked my firewall, rebooted the computer, used AOL's repair tool, installed both AOL and Windows updates, but nothing helped.

Hi,

·         Was it working fine before? If so, do you remember making any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue?

·         What troubleshooting step have you tried?

I would suggest you restart computer in clean boot and check if the network appears, follow the “steps 1” in the following link enable to clean boot:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Follow the step 7 from the article to “Reset the computer to start as usual”, after performing the clean boot troubleshooting.

Also update network adapter driver follow the steps in the following link:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly

If the issue still occurs I would suggest you to contact AOL for further assistance. Have a look the following links:
