another app is controling your sound

hii, i'm using windows 10 .while playing video suddenly after 10 minutes audio is going off .so i close the video and restart the video then it shows that "another app is controlling your sound ". clearly i don't know what app running in the back ground .

please tell me solution for this problem .

Hi,

Follow these steps...

Go to Control Panel,

Hardware & Sound,

In Devices & Printers click Device Manager or Alternatively hold the windows key & press S to bring up the search bar and just search for Device Manager.

Look for Sound, video & game controllers,

Open the tab with the arrow to the left,

Right click on the first option (Mines AMD High Definition Audio Device),

Click disable,

Click OK,

Right click on the first option again,

Click enable,

Close all windows and try running a video or music file.

This isnt a permanent fix but it gets the job done.

Im running Windows 10 64bit Pro.

I cant seem to find the app thats causing this problem in Task Manager.

I would love to know if anyone has identified the culprit.

Hope this helps.
