An error occured while im resetting my password. Please help me.

When you booted into Windows for the very first time, Windows prompted you for an account name & password. This account was automatically created with administrative privileges. You should use this account now to reset the password for the problem account.

If you damaged this account while resetting its password then you need to do this:

1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
2. Boot the machine with your System Repair CD.
3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the CD.
4. Select "Repair PC" from the menu.
5. Select "Repair" when prompted.
6. Select System Restore when prompted.
7. Set Windows back to a point before you changed the password.
8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document a spare admin account, same as you have a spare house key for emergencies. Having a single admin account is high-risk stuff, as you probably realise by now.

-> Are you saying that you do not have a System Repair CD?

-> Or are you saying that you do not have a CD/DVD drive?

Please be specific about the error - what exactly were you doing when it appeared, when exactly did it appear

If you were trying to use a password reset disk and this error appeared,

then you were trying to use the wrong password reset disk. 

The only Password reset disk that will work is the latest one made for this user account on this PC & this OS.

-> Ask a friend to burn one for you. It takes less than five minutes via the Control Panel / Backup and restore.
