All applications are crashing immediately while opening

I'm having an issue with many of the various Windows Apps, including the Store, Settings, and many others.

I don't know if this is connected but I originally had a problem with the chrome and firefox and installing games on the D: drive (HDD) rather than the C: drive (SSD with the OS). The games would appear as uninstalled, the app would malfunction, downloads and updates would error, and it all culminated in the OS glitching out by showing a black screen with the taskbar flicking in and out at the bottom. I somehow managed to "fix" it by following a plethora of suggestions by different users, so many suggestions that I can't tell now what exactly fixed it.

But anyway, fast forward to now and I opened the firefox , clicked on a show, hit play, and got a "Whoops, something went wrong" message. The error code directed me to reinstall the app or reset it. That's when I realized I could do neither. Uninstalling asks me if I really want to do it, I hit yes, and nothing happens. Trying to access More>App Settings, opens a window that immediately crashes. This happens for every other Windows app. I can't access any app's settings.

Then I tried going to the Microsoft Store to try and reinstall firefox from there. I clicked firefox in the store window, it starts loading the firefox App page, and crashes. Any app I try to access inside the store, crashes the Store app. I obviously can't reset the Store itself because I can't access its settings

Then I tried reinstalling the Store, but if I go to Apps & Features, the Store doesn't even show up on the list. Same for firefox.

At some point, I was following a guide to change something unrelated in the system, which directed me to the Control Panel, and then to System. I did so, clicked System, a window with a white cog over a gray background showed up for a second, and then crashed. So I can't access that System settings page. Settings, such as "show which operating system your computer is running", "see the name of this computer", "see which workgroup this computer is on", that appear as links under the link to System are inaccessible as well.

I searched online and none of the fixes for the crashing Store app work. Tried the date and time synch thing, tried deleting cache, ran some Powershell command, ran WSReset.exe. And yes, I tried sfc /scannow and checking the drive's integrity. It says it's fine. And there is no malware detected checked with malware bytes.

And I already install older version of windows 10 1903

Still the same issue

Then I installed windows 8.1 still same issue

Again I installed windows 21H2 Issue remains same

What's going on? Why is every Windows app just extremely busted?

I'm using Windows 10 pro 21H2 , booting from a 125GB SSD (C:), with other software and files stored in a 1TB HDD (D:).

Can anyone please help???

Hello and welcome to the Microsoft Support Center

According to your feedback, your computer will crash when you open Microsoft applications, based on your description, I guess there may be a problem with the hard disk, of course, this is just a guess, you can try to install the system on the D drive to try, it is recommended that you can update the system to 22H2 to try.

I hope the above is helpful to you, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Did you install the program through the official website?

You can record a video and upload it, that is, about the crashed computer programs and browsers, and we will take a look at your error message and the situation where the problem occurs.
