Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 running very slow 64 bit windows 7

Is there a solution to this problem, no joy with Adobe.

. When was the last time it was working fine?

. Do you make any recent changes hardware or software on your system prior to this issue?

Method 1:  Try the steps mentioned from the below link, which would help us to perform - CLEAN BOOT->A clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts. Visit the link below to know how to perform a clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Once the troubleshooting is over, reset the computer to start as usual.

 

Method 2: See details about your computer's performance using Task Manager:

Method 3:I would suggest you to try uninstall and reinstall the Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and check if it helps.
