Admin User, Adult, I need permission from Myself???!?!?!?!!!

  1. I am logged in as an Administrator

  2. I try to install a software I need to use from CD...

  3. Windows pops up with the following:

"Ask for permission

You’ll need to ask an adult in your family if you can use:

autorun.exe

Ask by email

Trace ID: 1XeeW14vaUWxSWUS.6.0 (Win32:autorun.exe:)"

4. I click "Ask by email" (why????? email to myself?????) - then I get the below error:

"Something went wrong

We’re working on it – try again in a little bit.

Trace ID: 1XeeW14vaUWxSWUS.8.1"

I AM THE ADULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot "leave the family" because I am the admin!!!! Tried a thousand times on family.microsoft.com!

My laptop is practically useless now!

Please click on the Windows + R keys,
type in taskschd.msc.
This will launch Task Scheduler.
On the left, go to this folder: Microsoft > Windows > Shell.
On the right pane, right-click on FamilySafetyMonitor and disable it.
Then do the same for FamilySafetyRefreshTask.
Then restart the computer.

I hope this fixes the problem you are having. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Wishes,
