Add-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online

I am trying to reinstall the Windows 10 Store App that was removed using the following PowerShell command and not having any luck.

Powershell command used to remove all ProvisionedPackages:

Get-AppXProvisionedPackage -Online | Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage –Online.

I downloaded the Microsoft Windows 10 Inbox Apps ISO from the VLSC and tried running the following command, but continue to receive an error message that the parameter is incorrect.

Powershell command used to try and reinstall Windows 10 Store as a ProvisionedPackage:

Add-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online -PackagePath "X:\amd64fre\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle" –LicensePath "X:\amd64fre\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe.xml"

Can the Windows store be added back as a AppxProvisionedPackage after it was removed?  Any help would be greatly  appreciated.

If you removed all apps and lost the Windows Store app as well, Powershell has the ability to retrieve it. For us to assist you with this concern, kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Right click the Windows icon and run PowerShell as Administrator.
  2. Type the following command on the Powershell and press Enter:
    • Get-Appxpackage -Allusers
  3. On the list, locate the Microsoft.WindowsStore entry and look for the text PackageFileName.
  4. Run this PowerShell command and replace the ****** with the PackageFileName from the list:
    • Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\******\AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
  5. After pressing Enter, this will reinstall Windows Store. Close your Powershell and restart your computer to check.
