I have bought my laptop wayback around 2008 with Windows 8.1 Single Language installed. Of late, I have been alerted that my Window license is going to expire soon. I need to key in my product key code. Unfortunately, I am not able to find the key. How can I resolve this?

You never bought your laptop with Windows 8.1 around 2008.
Windows 7 wasn't even released until 2009.
And you are saying it is going to expire.
the big question is where did you get it from?
Retail and OEM Licenses do not expire.
But Volume Licenses have to be re-activated on a regular basis, but Volume Licenses are not for private use..
