About 2 weeks after installing windows 11 upgrade, My Asus TUF Gaming A15 slowed to almost Win 98 speeds. I thought perhaps my security software may have been consuming too many resources. That wasn't the case. I have been combing the internet for a few weeks now trying to fix the issue and get my laptop back to its previous speeds (which was really good). I did a reset and it reinstalled Windows 11.

I haven't installed any of my regular apps or software and it is still running at half the speed of snore. My disappointment is growing as no good result or proper information is forthcoming.

I have made sure that my resources aren't overtaxed in any way. This is what is currently on this computer....

I like Win11. However, though I like the OS, I cannot use something that tanks my system for no good reason. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

First, check that your system already has all the latest updates installed, go to Start menu > Settings > Windows Update, check and apply all updates.

After installing the pending updates and restarting the computer, go back to the same Windows Update screen and click Advanced Options > Optional Updates, also apply the optional updates, and restart the PC.

Check if the problem persists.

Also ensure your apps are up to date. Check the proper procedures at the link below:

After installing all OS and app updates, the ideal is to update your computer's BIOS as well, also check the Asus support site for your device, download and install al the most recent drivers available for it.

Did you in win update settings turn off auto update of Optional updates, as they include driver updates, and did you then install both Bios and All updates from the latop makers support site, there is likely a pre-installed Asus utility for that
