Hello Souryajeet

Restart (not shut down your PC)

Can you then access that drive?

If not, open Disk Management (accessible by right clicking your Start Menu)

Please provide a screenshot of that Disk Management window . . .

The way I corrected this issue was to open the HDD's properties, go to the security tab, click on the advanced button, change ownership to yourself, give yourself full access, click ok, make sure you have full access on the General tab within the properties as well. then tah dah issue is gone forever...

I tried going into my HDD's properties, and there is no security tab available there.  Is there some other way to get to the security tab?

Hi ! I was having the same problem with my Seagate External Harddisk when I trying to move a file into it, it appears to say an error "a device does not exist was specified". However, the error was then fixed as I plugged in different USB slot. Before, I plugged it in 2.0 USB and then changed it to 3.0 USB. Supposedly on paper it says that it support 2.0. I hope this would be another possible solution. I am no professional but I'm just sharing what I'm experiencing.
