2022-03 .NET 6.0.3 Security Update for x64 Client (KB5012417) Install error - 0x80070643

I have just been installing the latest batch of updates but keep getting this error whenever i retry. All the other updates worked fine; just this one broke. I will upoad a screenshot of update history. If you need any more info please just give me a shout :D

Edit: Fix is to go into visual studio and download latest updates

Are you an Insider and need help from those folks, I don't see an update that advanced on this public forum..

I usd to be but unenrolled ages ago in autum when windows 11 was officially released. I do a bit of game dev and programming with things like unity and visual studio which require the sdks perhaps? Should i just re-dowload manually as this will prevent me checking for any other updates. However it's speciallized for the latest build of windows 11 (kb5012417 bit) so is definitely an official update

I've also tried re-installing the sdk from https://github.com/dotnet/core/blob/main/release-notes/6.0/6.0.3/6.0.3.md#visual-studio-compatibility but that hasn't fixed anything

I notice that Microsoft Catalog specifies it as a .Net 6.0 download.. I don't think I even have that. Maybe your being a developer gets you such things.

Someone with more experience may see what is going on or another forum for developers. I don't suppose the Windows update log would help? Sorry ..

I don't think I can put those .etl logs together to get an Update log. Use PowerShell in admin mode and use the command below. It should build and place the log on your Desktop.

Get-WindowsUpdateLog
