Attempted to install and re-install windows on a new machine, i get the exact same error when it comes tro the 2020-03 update (Windows 10 x64).

Tried previous suggestions of clearing update cache, didn't work.

Went to safe mode with networking, didn't work.

Tried the regedit fixes, didn't work.

Currently i'm getting this same error on a Desktop machine as well  as a Surface Pro 2.

CWalker3:

I tried the above "update now" and got: "Thank you for updating to the latest version of Windows 10" in only about 10 seconds.

So, this did absolutely nothing!  The latest version I was able to update to, and am now running is,

Windows 10 Pro, version 1909, OS Build 18363.628, 6/1/2019.

This obviously is NOT the latest version of Windows 10!  So now what?

I plan on wiping the C: drive and creating a Windows 10 installation media on a USB drive, but

I cannot seem to get this PC to log-in using my Microsoft account instead of Local Account.  When I do

all the steps to do this I get:

Oops, something went wrong

Whatever happened, it was probably our fault. Please try again.

Tried about 5 times now!  So, how can I preserve my license for Windows 10 without a KEY since originally switched from Windows 7 and Windows 10 is, " activated with a digital license."

STILL NO RECENT UPDATES!!!

But that is the latest.... I just googled "latest windows 10 build" and the OS build is matching the latest and the 6/1/2019 is just when it became available not when it was last updated. 1909 is the current version of the most up to date OS for windows.

EDIT: also Googled "what does a digital windows 10 key do" and got taken straight to windows help page that said this

If you activated a free upgrade to Windows 10 or bought and activated Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store, you'll have a digital license for your device instead of a product key. This means you can reinstall the same edition of Windows 10 that your device has a digital license for without entering a product key.

During reinstallation, if you’re asked to enter a product key, select Skip. In most cases, if Windows 10 was activated on your device before you reinstall, it will automatically activate after you go online.

Thank you for the reply, BUT now I am really confused!  I knew I was running Windows 10 1909, but I have not been able to successfully install any updates (getting updates failed, missing files or information, we will try again later) since 2/7/2020 (KB4532695).  So, should I be concerned that all updates since 2/7/2020 have failed to install?
