I think what we are seeing here is from my newer Lenovo (5years old) laptop. Both the laptops are under my Microsoft Account, both running Windows 10 22h2, the newer one can't run Windows 11, so I'm using Windows 10 until it quits.

I just noticed that Bluetooth works fine on the newer one, and under settings it shows the same list of devices I have with Bluetooth capability, the same list that shows on the older one. Maybe it picks this up from my MS Account information?

The bottom line is that Bluetooth won't work on the older Lenovo. So be it.

That's unfortunate. I recommend you send feedback to Microsoft about this using the Feedback Hub app on your laptop or send feedback to the manufacturer of your laptop to request an update for the Bluetooth driver.

I sent Feedback to MS, told them the problem, that you recommended I do it, ID'd the Model of the laptop, etc. Maybe they can come up with a work - around to the problem. I doubt Lenovo will do anything as it's a 11 year - old device and I'm just lucky to be able to use it with Windows 10, It will make a great Chromebook in 2025 when MS pulls the plug on us Windows 10 users as much as I hate to see that happen.

Regarding Lenovo, you're right that they might not provide support for such an old device. However, it's great that your laptop is still running Windows 10 smoothly.

Looking ahead to 2025, if Windows 10 support changes, using it as a Chromebook sounds like a practical alternative. Or you can keep using Windows 10 if it's still operational.

I got the Bluetooth working just fine. Bought a Bluetooth USB Dongle at Amazon, my cost $6.86. Windows 10 installed it without any problem, Bluetooth is now turned on and working fine.

In case other folks have this problem, pass on this information.
