Hi MurthallaPM,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community.

You mentioned that you connected the device to a DVR of a CCTV, just want to clarify, are you saying that you connected the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard to a DVR and it's working just fine? But, when you connect it to your laptop,  the accessories cannot be recognized?

If that's the case, we would like you initially troubleshoot the issue by opening Device Manager and expand Universal Serial Bus (USB), then right-click on the available USB drivers and select "uninstall device". If a pop-up shows up, leave the box uncheck, just proceed uninstalling the device and restart your computer to reinstall the drivers. While restarting, unplug/re-plug the mouse and the keyboard from and to your laptop.

Note: Make sure to install all the updates and clean the USB port of your laptop.

If  this helps, please let our Community know by marking this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread for further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Crest_Z

Hi

I have similar problem; recently purchased MS-Mouse + Keyboard ... works OK on my MS-Surface PC.  I tried to connect to my Dell PC (Windows 10 ... all updates installed) ..

after 2 failed attempts (USB not not recognized) I managed to get it installed & working. However after powering up my PC next day the problem appeared again and I can't get it fixed.

Device manager lists 2 mice ... both drivers are uptodate (2006) ... I'm trying to replace my old MSkeyboard (wired) and LogiTech mouse)

Any idea what's causing this ?

to be sure I ran update again ... removed & replugged USB stick .. it added another driver ... some date datails ... it now functions ... not sure what will happen when I power down & up

weird
