Surface Pro Type Cover + Scroll Lock shortcut ???

I don't understand how, for 10+ years no-one has been able to answer this

Every so often I accidentally toggle Scroll Lock using my Surface Pro Type Cover

Excel cell selector suddenly refuses to respond to the arrow keys, and the whole page moves instead

The Type Cover keyboard does not have a Scroll Lock key and, for the life of me, I've been unable to find any reference to the shortcut I accidentally tripped - needless to say impossible to replicate

The only solution ever offered to disable Scroll Lock is to use the accessibility On Screen Keyboard

Surface Pro: how do you turn off Scroll Lock? - Microsoft Community

Desperate request to someone at Microsoft - Please, please, PLEASE, put me out of my bafflement and let us know what the hidden shortcut key combination is???

Hi Remy!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

With your query, I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. The Surface Pro Type Cover does not have a dedicated Scroll Lock key. However, you can try using the Fn key and the Caps Lock key together to toggle Scroll Lock on and off. Alternatively, you can try using the On-Screen Keyboard to disable Scroll Lock. To do this, go to Start > Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard > Use the On-Screen Keyboard. Once the On-Screen Keyboard is open, click on the ScrLk button to disable Scroll Lock.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

RodelioP.

Thanks, but we've seen these responses before

[Fn] + [CAPS Lock] does nothing

It seems the illusive Type Cover shortcuts eludes us still

the only solution is to invoke the On-Screen Keyboard

I had the same problem and was able to find elsewhere that you can activate the "on-screen keyboard" which has the Scroll-Lock button that you can push to turn off. Activate this "on-screen keyboard" by pushing CTRL + Windows + O. You'll see the ScrLk key available for you to push.
