Surface Pro i7 - Display turns yellowish

Hi Guys,

i´ve got a problem with my display which i noticed when comparing my surface pro i5 with  the i7 version. 

the dispay of the i5 version is a lot whiter than the i7 one.

i tried some things and found out that as soon as i change the refresh rate from the display, everthing is in the regular white as it should be. but that lasts only a secound maybe. 

first i tought the night modus is resposible but its clearly deactivated. 

any suggestions?

Thank you for reaching out Surface Community. What happens if you change the screen brightness to 100%, are you still getting yellowish on the screen?

hi karen,

yes, the same problem. i´ve got the feeling that the brightness adjustment has something to do with it.

when i scale the brightness above 50%, there is no change in lightness. i mean, there should be, right? 

on every 10% step i got a brighter picture but as i said, above 50% there is nothing. 

i noticed also that when i deinstall the display drivers, the brightness and colours are as they should be. but then i can´t control the brightness anymore... and after the next reboot, the drivers are installed again.

i reinstalled the firmware package and runned the surface diagnostic tool, no changes. 

any ideas?

ahh my mistake. the brightness scale problem... the automatic brightness option was responsible for that.

but nontheless, the "yellowish" problem still exists.

why not? there is a still shot and a video that I can view. there is no way to
upload videos to these forums.
