Surface Pro 2017 - BSOD: KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE

I have a new Surface Pro 2017: i7/8GB/256. I was just chatting on Google Hangouts and all of a sudden I got a BSOD for Kernel Security Check Failure. This is a brand new device and I haven't really installed anything on it. Is anyone else having this problem?

The device is fully updated and I haven't played around with drivers or anything.

So far this just happened once.

open Event Viewer and copy and paste the details of this crash into a reply for
starters.

this COULD be hardware. since this is a new Surface Pro, I would return and
repurchase. Do NOT exchange online with Microsoft. If you are in the US, no
matter where you purchased it, a physical retail Microsoft Store should be able
to assist and swap you out for a NEW, UNOPENED Surface Pro.

Thanks Barb! I went to Microsoft Store, and they did a fresh install with an USB stick of Windows 10. They said it's most likely due to the OS being corrupt. I haven't had BSOD since, but will update if that changes...
