Do you know if itnis a Gen 1 or Gen 2 port? Thank you for your quick response.

Thank you so much for your patience. I was able to check with our team and clarified the specs of the USB Type-C port on the Surface Laptop 3. I am sorry for the information I initially shared. 

Please allow me to correct this. The USB Type-C port uses 3.2 and is Gen 2.
