Surface Book 2 and BenQ PD2700U 27 Inch 4K HDR. Am I running them correct?

This is what I have in front of me

Computer:

Surface Book 2 - 15" Display / 512GB / Intel Core i7

Monitor:

BenQ PD2700U

I just bought the monitor today, it looks amazing but I am not sure I am using the full power/capability of it with the Surface Book 2.

I have ONE cable going from the Surface Book 2 to the monitor. This is the cable I am using:

Cable Matters USB C to DisplayPort Cable Supporting 4K 60Hz Black 3.3 Feet

Can you guys check the image below and see if those are all correct? Matter of fact am I even looking at the right section?

Bit Depth is saying 8-Bit. Should it be 10-bit?

Color Space is showing SDR. Should it be HDR?

Your settings for the BenQ are correct. You can't do 10 bit or HDR.

You should set the Surface display to its native resolution.

If you're not using the Surface display along with the external monitor you might want to select make this my main display for the external monitor and disable this display for the Surface display.

You should keep your Surface Book open for cooling even if you're not using its display.

Thank you, that is good enough for me.

I am now doing what you are saying.

Surface Book 2 resolution is now back to the native resolution

BenQ is now the main monitor and the surface book 2 screen is off.

Everything looks good to me..thank you!!
