Hi Mick_2002,

We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

By the way, have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the battery drivers of your Surface Book 2 in Device Manager? How about configuring the Power Options in Control Panel? What is the current OS version of your Surface device? Would you mind running its battery report so we can check the battery condition of your Surface device?

If you haven't ran the battery report and uninstall/reinstall the battery, kindly do that first so we can further check the point of failure why battery performance decreases drastically.

Kind Regards,

Crest

How do you uninstall/reinstall battery drivers in device manager and for the power options in the control panel it just comes as just a balanced plan.

Hi Mick_2002,

To uninstall/reinstall the battery driver, kindly:

Open Device Manager

Expand Battery

Right-click on battery drivers available and select "uninstall device". Once done, restart your Surface to reinstall the drivers automatically.

Kind Regards,

Crest

I just uninstalled/reinstalled my battery drivers and it wasn't the issue. Now my issue is that I can't find the different power options in my control panel. I also ran the battery report and the battery isn't an issue. The main issue is that I can't find the different power options in my control panel that's all.

Hi Mick_2002,

Would you be able to take a screenshot of what you see in Power Options in Control Panel? Or if you prefer to have someone to remotely access the device and check if there's anything that needs to be configured to have those options back, it would be best to contact our Microsoft Surface Support for further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Crest
