I have a brand new Surface Laptop 3 Model 1867:1868 i5. When I replaced my Surface Pro I noticed that the Laptop 3 made more sound due to the fan. Now, a few days later, it does not make fan-noise, but it has started to make a beeping sound every 5 seconds. Does anybody have experience with this?

Hi, HFRO_NO!
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your concerns. We are sorry to learn you have issues with your Surface Laptop 3 having this beeping sound every 5 seconds. This isn't the experience that we want you to have. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this and allowing us to help you out.
Have you taken a video on when this happens? That way, we will be able to determine if this is some sort of notification. Is the device plugged into any accessory like a hard drive, mouse, flash drive, etc? In the meantime, kindly do the following steps on the device.
· Check for Windows Update:
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates
Please restart your device to apply the updates.
· Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and make sure to complete the tasks.
· Force shutdown the device and restart.
- Press and hold the power button until the screen turns off (about 10 seconds), then release the power button.
- Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Microsoft logo.
If that doesn't work, here's how to make sure your Surface turns off completely:
Press and hold down the power button until your Surface restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (this about 20 seconds), then release the power button.
If this answers your question, please let our Community know by marking this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there’s anything else that needs to be addressed.
Kind regards,
Janette_Z

Hi Janette_Z
Neither of the above advice solved the problem. I have made a sound recording of the problem.
But I am not allowed to enclose this file in this reply window. It's a M4A-file.
Attached products are two older screens that runs from the microsoft powersupply hub.
I have also made a video like you requested: https://photos.app.goo.gl/iwcWBXQrC2nX3NcF9

Oh, we're sorry about it, HFRO_NO.
The same thing happens even after trying out the steps above.
I sent a private message. Kindly check it out so you can upload the file.

Hey HFRO_NO
Have you tried the following as a standard troubleshooting procedure?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023471/surface-troubleshoot-surface-sound-and-audio-accessories
If that fails, uninstall the drivers from Device Manager (Windows + X --->Device Manager) and reboot. If that also fails, since I am not psychically there and I noticed your setup does it happen everywhere while using the Surface?
