Microsoft Surface Duo 2: Defender Cloud App Notification

Basic product Info:


  • Microsoft Surface Duo 2

  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps Security

  • Company Portal


Issue:


  • If I go to an unsanctioned site, I get a popup notice, and the message is more expansive than a single Duo Screen. It cannot be moved, closed, expanded, or manipulated. It disables the phone.


Current Solution:


  • Restart the phone


Question:


  • Has anyone seen this before, and did they find a workaround?

I wanted to add an image of this, but I only have one phone, and when it occurs, it freezes my phone, so I can't swipe to do a screen capture. But to describe it, it's a black dialog with the Defender logo and a message saying an app was blocked.

Here is an example of what I mean, there is no way to close the alert without restarting the phone. I have noticed on other phones you can get to the 'OK' button to close the alert, just not the Surface Duo 2
