i tried assigning the keyboard shortcut to lock my surface pro (windows key + L) to the 4-finger gesture of swiping towards myself, but nothing happens when i swipe. then i created a shortcut on my desktop that did the same (lock my surface pro) and assigned a separate shortcut for that, and even that did not work for the gesture. is there any way i can make a touchpad gesture that locks my windows?
Update:
For anyone else looking to do this, here's how:
1. Right click anywhere on the home screen of your desktop
2. Click "New", then "Shortcut"
3. For location, copy and paste the following. "C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation" then click "Next"
4. Name the shortcut "Lock" and click "Done"
5. Now right click on the new shortcut and click "Properties"
6. Under "Shortcut Key", assign the keys (Ctrl + Alt + L)
7. Now open settings, click "Bluetooth and Devices"
8. Scroll down and click "Touchpad", then click on "Advanced Gestures"
9. Under "Configure four-finger gestures" click "Swipe Down" and choose the option "Custom Shortcut"
10. Click "Start Recording" and hold the keys (Ctrl + Alt + L)
Now enjoy being able to lock your computer by swiping towards yourself with four fingers!
