Is it possible to upgrade my surface pro 6 i5 8GB processor?

Hello,

I have my surface pro 6 for a year now and I love it the way it is! I am curious on is it possible to upgrade the RAM, Storage, and processor? Mines is 8 GB RAM with a 120GB SSD and a Intel i5 8250U. And if its possible to upgrade the SSD, Ram and processor does it have to be compatible with the motherboard? I've been looking on Reddit and google on if its possible but couldn't find the answer to my question and I thought I should ask here.

Thank you in advance and have a great day!

Hi Abdullah _224,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community.

It's not possible to upgrade the device RAM,storage and processor considering that those stuff aren't removable. The only way for you to upgrade your Surface device is to check from our Microsoft Store if they do offer recycle rewards program wherein you have to trade-in your Surface device for a credit in order for you to get another device with higher configuration. But as of the moment, you wouldn't be able to check this information from our Microsoft Store because they are currently closed due to the global health crisis. Once everything will be back to normal, you can simply locate the nearest MS store in your area online and you can call them for further details.

If this answers your question, feel free to mark this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there's anything else that needs to be addressed.

Kind Regards,
