I can't click, drag, and highlight text, or drag windows with the trackpad on my Surface Pro 4 keyboard...

I'm unable to highlight a body of text with my trackpad. I can highlight a section by double clicking, but can't highlight only a couple of sentences from a body of text. Also, I can't drag windows, tabs, etc. Can anyone help?

Hi,

To ensure that all driver updates and Surface updates are installed. Go to Start > Settings > Update and security > Windows updates > Check for updates.

Have you tried uninstalling the touchpad driver yet? If not, press the Windows button on your keyboard and look up Device manager, now click to expand Human Interface Devices, look for HID-compliant touchpad. Do a right-click on it and click uninstall. Restart your Surface and the driver should re-install automatically.

We also suggest, if it's possible, that you try another working Surface Pro 4 keyboard/touchpad and see if the same issue occurs.

Let us know the results after doing these steps.

Regards.
