Hissing/echo in left Surface Earbud

My left Surface Earbud has a hissing/echo noise when being used in Microsoft Teams. I've updated the Earbuds to the latest version and the issue does not occur when using the Earbuds with my iPhone.

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

I'll raise this concern internally so we could investigate on this but using the Surface Audio app, please check if both earbuds are charged. Does it happen only in Microsoft Teams? How about on other apps? I'll get back to you once I get an update on this.

Thanks for the quick response. So far I’ve only noticed it on specifically in the left earbud on Teams via Windows 10 and iOS. Also I’ve confirmed that the earbuds have been updated, charged and factory reset.

Also the hissing or distorted noise only happens when someone in a Teams meeting is speaking. Again both of W10 as well as iOS.

So, the distorted noise is both happening on your Surface Laptop 3 and iPhone this time. Only when someone in a Teams meeting on either of the 2 devices the hissing occurs. Correct?

Is it still happening only on the left?

When the issue occurs, do you hear white noise all the time? 

Does it stop after 60 seconds and don’t hear it anymore?

As you mentioned, it occurs when in a Teams meeting.

Does it happen when playing music or video?

Are there any other apps that has the same issue?

Thank you for the response and for the details Please contact support through our Global Customer Service phone numbers to have your Surface Earbuds replaced. If the earbuds was purchased from a retailer, please contact the retailer instead to have it replaced.

the same issue
I have the same issue , with charges and updated earbuds, BUT only via PC , connected to my iPhone the Sound is clear.
