Skype Login - Two Factor Authentication

Every time I login to Skype it asks me for a code that it sends to my email.  I have to go to my email, get the code, type it in, and then I can finish logging into Skype.  I'm sure this is some sort of two-factor authentication I created when I originally set up my Skype account, but now it is getting annoying!

How do I turn off the need to enter a code that was sent to my email every time I login to Skype?

Thank you!

Hello ChrisNoyes,

Welcome to Skype Community!

Two step verification is a security feature of Microsoft which helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your Microsoft account.

To turn off two step verification, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Security basics page, and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  2. Select more security options.

  3. Under Two-step verification, choose Turn off two-step verification to turn it off.

  4. Follow the instructions.

I hope the information above helps.

Regards,
