Skype error: List index out of bounds (0)

I see a lot of people have this issue with trying to delete recent messages but no answer????

Anyone????

I have already completely uninstalled and reinstalled.

Hi,

Are you trying to delete messages that you have sent? Or recent messages that you have received?

Deleting a conversation is not currently supported on Skype for Windows desktop, or Skype for Windows 10. Perhaps, deleting your entire Skype chat history will do.

In my case, neither of that.

I got a missed group call with the number "4: +12455". When I click on it i got this error message "List index out of bounds". If I right click, it appears only one option "add to contacts". There is no way to mark as read.

No, I am not trying to delete it but it wont even let me mark as read.

This error pops just by clicking on the call.

I am frustrated because it just remains and on my task bar skype icon it always showing that I have a message waiting..

How can I clear this?

Hey Kenko,

No has helped me with this issue at all. Cant call anyone. I am starting to think about finding a different solution. Maybe a company that will actually have customer service and support...

I finally solved the problem doing the following:

1) Disconnect from Skype

2) Right click on Skype icon and choose "quit Skype"

3) Run %appdata%

4) Rename the folder "skype" to "old_skype"

5) Start Skype.

That's it. I hope it works for everyone too.
